Off the back of the gigaproject, Gensler extended Arcavia's remit into the Birmingham office. The work started with expanding data centre capability out of London and grew into hiring across both Birmingham studios. We have placed more than 30 professionals across Architect, Architectural Technician, Technologist, Document Control, Project Architect, Design Manager and Interior Design, sourcing 73% of them directly. Salary benchmarking ran alongside the hiring so the office was positioned properly against the Birmingham market while staying consistent with pay across the wider business. Fees are running 46% below Gensler's 15% agency benchmark, a saving of over £41,000 at the last reported quarter.
